Irene Donati has more than 10 years working experience (Europe / West Africa ) in roles ranging from event producer, project manager, advertising account director, strategy director, PR and Brands and Communications director, with a focus on everything Digital and Social Media.
In Italy she has worked in the event business as producer and project manager until she reached the peak of her career with the Juventus Stadium Opening ceremony in 2010. That’s when she switched to advertising and promotion, working for one of the independent agencies in the Omnicom Group where she also started managing digital strategy.
She worked as account and strategy director in Ghana for Now Available Africa managing brands like Nescafe, Tigo, Access Bank, in Ogilvy One for clients like Airtel, Coca Cola and Barclays Bank, last agency was Renegades Africa where she stayed enough time to be head of strategy for the Awake Water Campaign that won one Pitcher Award and Two African Cristals.
She has been Strategy director in Omg Digital Inc, a startup financed by Y Combinator, San Francisco defined “The BuzzFeed of Africa” by Techcrunch and Forbes.
She is now head of brands and communications for Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd.
She also has experience in personal branding and PR and worked with and supported local artistes.
She has championed digital culture in Ghana for the past 4 years being a speaker in different conferences and events like UsAid Digital Forum, Blogging Ghana, Social Media Week Accra, Mesh Creative Confab.
She has taught master classes on Branding at Radford University Ghana.
She has a degree in Literature at the University “La Sapienza”, Roma; a Master in Marketing and Communication of Fashion and Luxury brands.
She is a certified Yoga teacher by Intl Yoga Alliance and she has an intermediate degree in piano at the Conservatory of Music, A. Casella, L’Aquila.
